JACUZZIHIDIVE Back In Action With Something Good
Our favorite indie/post-disco/pop troubadours are back with a new release! Jacuzzihidive returns with a refreshingly refined sound, employing a bit more a organic vibe, riding a high of shimmering vintage synth, guitar arrangements, and grooved-out rhythms perfect for ushering in the summertime. A slight departure from their 2010 release of Night Creatures, their new Single+B-Side “Something Good” sheds a bright light on the new Jacuzzihidive, and is quite simply just that! Something Good.
After spending the latter part of 2011 mixing the tracks JHD recorded at Odds On Recordings multi-million dollar facility in Las Vegas and still not quite getting the results they were seeking, JHD opted to record brand new songs completely DIY in their small studio of the past 3 years (Lab 29), which was perched on the top floor of a building overlooking the Vegas strip. As of early May, Jacuzzihidive relocated and are now based out of Los Angeles. With plans on finishing up the new record by July, expect a stellar late summer release with following tour dates.
“Something Good” was recorded and mixed during the month of April. All the music and instruments played are 100% real, 100% analog, sample-free, auto-tune free, and are the first JHD recordings where lead vocalist Aily Iglesias and multi-instrumentalist Aram Luc share main vocal duties. The new record includes contributions from a growing collective of talented friends such as Macario Gutierrez Jr, Andrew Frechtman, Scott Valladares, and Josh Seno.

I made my way to The Rio for Instagram Fridays i met up with the boys from Quarters and Eighths
heres a silly interview I put together for for my Buddy Scott one half of the DJ Duo.

pretty good, how about your self?…
I.K.- Whats it like to be in a Dj Duo?
its fun man, we are just two friends that met in our high school band, Josh playing Trumpet and Myself (scott) playing in the drum line. Going out and djing a party or a gig is no different then going to a pep rally or basketball game, hah as long is your having fun and dancing along to the music.
I.K.- In this relationship, who’s on bottom?

Together, its been about 4 or 5 years with more to come
